Meet our Advising Team
Carol Allen (nee Savage)
I joined iMAB in 2001 as a mortgage and protection adviser. I love helping my clients ( and now some of their children, friends and families) to get through what can be a minefield of lenders jargon and numbers.
But over and above that I like to think we make that difference, as the one person on your side and will always go way beyond just the mortgage and insurance. If I don’t know the answer I know where to point you to who will.
Outside of advising I love getting outdoors walking and training, in my now home of Wath in South Yorkshire. ( I visit the office in Watford and St Albans, but these days zoom, teams and phones are for more time efficient for you the customers) I am passionate about most things I do but friends are always at the heart of it.
I joined iMAB back in 2015 as a Mortgage and Protection adviser and I’m based in the St Albans office. My background has predominantly been working in finance since the year 2000, and I have gained much knowledge and experience along the way. I’m committed in providing comprehensive, clear and honest advice for my clients and most importantly, maintaining long lasting relationships. My advice process is mainly to first time buyers, next time buyers/home movers and remortgages – residential or buy to let mortgages. I’m married with two children which fills up my days!
I have been at iMAB, in particular the Watford, Hertfordshire branch, since May 2002 as a mortgage and protection adviser, after previously working in retail for M&S and an offshore childrenswear supplier.
I am married and have lived in Watford since 1990 during which time I have got to know a lot of local people and businesses.
Outside of the office I aim to get out running a 10k a couple of times a week, but don’t fancy doing any marathons. I’m a huge fan of The Who and love watching and going to live sport (football, tennis and athletics).
I have worked in the financial services since 2009, working for companies such as HSBC & NatWest. I started working as a Mortgage Adviser with NatWest in 2011 covering areas such as Ealing, Uxbridge, Eastcote, Pinner and Amersham. I joined iMAB in June 2016 as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser which has allowed me to help even more people achieve their dreams. I help First Time Buyers, Home Movers, clients remortgaging, and those with BTL, self-employed income, adverse credit and many more.
Outside of work I love travelling, camping and being close to nature. I love learning about other cultures and religions as it is enriching and helps with understanding of others. I also enjoy live music, cinema and theatre.
I am also fluent in Polish and happy to conduct meetings in this language.
After working for Lloyds TSB for 7 years, I joined iMAB in 2007 as an Independent Mortgage & Protection Consultant in the St Albans Office, Hertfordshire.
Having been in this role for a number of years, I have a multitude of loyal clients; many self-employed and clients that work as contractors, for whom I’ve arranged many mortgages on both a residential and buy to let basis. I continue to arrange mortgages for these clients, even years after they have moved away from the area and now live in various parts of the country.
I live in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire with my 2 sons. I love and appreciate the time I spend with my family, but in my own time, I enjoy running, listening to music and playing touch rugby.
I have been in the mortgage industry since I started with NatWest in 1994. I joined iMAB in 2002 and opened up my own office in Letchworth in 2008, which later moved to Stevenage Old Town in 2010.
I am married with 2 grown up children and live in St Neot. I enjoy cricket, football and spending time with my family.
I have been working in the mortgage industry for almost 30 years and have been part of iMAB since 2003. Many of my clients are in the media, theatre, music and entertainment industries, which always keeps things interesting!
As well as advising on regular residential and buy to let mortgages, I also offer equity release advice to older clients, which has been a growing part of business in recent years.
When not working, I enjoy long country walks, going to the theatre and playing guitar in my noisy band!
I have been a mortgage adviser in Stevenage and Knebworth for 18 years and have dealt with well over 1200 mortgages throughout Hertfordshire and Essex and other parts of the country. I’m fully qualified to offer protection advice as well as mortgage advice and can also provide Wills to give an all-encompassing service. I am able to offer evening appointments as well as home visits to assist around work schedules.
I’m married (18 years and counting) with two kids, whose football teams I coach. I also run a team in the local 7-a-side league and enjoy playing veterans’ football. I like to spend my hard earned salary on Lego, to help unwind, and travelling with the family, when we are able to again!
The FCA does not regulate wills
I have spent most of my career in financial services, having worked for a variety of building societies and major national banks including NatWest and Halifax, where I was a District Manager. I became an independent mortgage & protection adviser in 2001 and joined iMAB in 2013. Whilst having our base in Chelmsford I also cover Basildon, Colchester, Braintree, Brentwood, Ilford, Grays, Harlow, Southend and London.
I am married with three children and enjoy playing and watching football and listening to music.
I have been working in the financial sector for most of my life and take pride in helping clients find the right mortgage and protection solutions. I have extensive experience in buy to lets and in the remortgage market and will ensure my clients get the best market rates.
I am also able to put you in contact with the right people when it comes to commercial and equity release products.
My past times include Formula 1 and spending time with my family.
The FCA does not regulate commercial mortgages.
I have worked in the Insurance and Protection industry since 2015, advising clients on how best to protect themselves against their debt and their income. I am able to advise on products such as Life Insurance, Family Income Benefit, Critical Illness Cover and Income Protection so that should the worst happen, families don’t experience any financial hardship.
I have a keen interest cricket, playing competitively and am a season ticket holder at Watford FC.
The FCA does not regulate commercial mortgages.
I joined iMAB in 2022 as an Insurance Specialist in the St Albans’s office and have been advising clients on their protection needs since 2019.
My mission is to protect individuals against undesired life events such as death, serious illnesses and accidents, and my passion is to make a difference in someone’s life in their most vulnerable time. I can help you secure the right level of protection in relation to Life Cover, Income Protection, Critical Illness Cover and Family Income Benefit.
I live in Watford with my wife and 3 children. I am huge football fan and I love spending time with family and friends. I can also speak Portuguese and I am very happy to conduct my meetings in this language to facilitate client’s experience.
Meet our Administration Team
I joined the admin iMAB team in 2014 to kickstart my career and learn a new industry as I started off with little knowledge other than having my own personal mortgage and protection insurance. Over the years I have thrived in my role continuing to develop new skills which now allows me to support on the processing of applications for the advisers.
I find my role rewarding, no two days are the same, and the satisfaction of knowing I have helped a client complete on a purchase or remortgage is invaluable. The pandemic has also allowed me to develop other skills such as learning to work remotely and communicating with the iMAB team without being able to see them face to face. I have also found walking my dog at the weekend has been a great way for me to keep fit and ensure I am focusing on my wellbeing in such unprecedented times.
I have been working at iMAB since 2016 originally starting as a Receptionist. I have since progressed to a Mortgage & Protection Administrator working at both our St Albans & Watford Branches.
My attention to detail gives me the ability to be thorough and accurate whilst processing all types of applications from Residential Mortgages, Buy to Lets, and Protection. I am eager to help clients get through to completion by liaising with all parties creating the smoothest transition possible.
As a first time buyer in St Albans I am kept busy setting up our new home. I enjoy going to the gym and spending my time at the stables.
I also love cooking and connecting with my Spanish roots trying to recreate my Grandparents Recipes.
I have worked in the financial services industry since leaving school, more years ago than I care to remember and have been working with mortgages and life insurance for at least the last 30 years, both as an adviser and then as an administrator. I am married with two grown up daughters.
In my spare time I like to take my two black Labradors for long muddy walks. I enjoy gardening and share an allotment with my daughter and I like to read.
I’ve worked for Adrian as his admin assistant in the Stevenage office since early 2015. I love organising (you can’t beat a good spreadsheet!), which helps me contribute to a hassle and stress free experience for our customers.
When I’m not at work, I spend as much time as I can gardening.
I joined Adrian’s admin team in the Stevenage office in July 2020. It’s my first job since graduating from university and I’m greatly enjoying it. My favourite task at work is thoroughly checking and organising documentation from our customers.
Outside of work, I love gardening and listening to banging tunes.
I joined iMAB in 2009 as part of the administration team and then went on to complete my CEMAP.
I have always been employed within customer focused roles and very much enjoy talking to people and doing my utmost to ensure they have the best customer service experience possible.
I love holidays, Zumba and reading. When not engrossed in those pastimes or working, my time is kept busy with my husband and teenage daughter and you’ll often find us sharing our love of films together or enjoying all things “Friends”.
I joined iMAB in 2022 after spending four years previously in the mortgage industry in similar roles. I have found my feet at iMAB and look forward to my future in this company. My years of experience in the mortgage industry as well as recently buying my own place have allowed me to see the struggles that are getting a mortgage and have made me a better administrator as a result.
Outside of work, I play in my local women’s rugby team as well as running their social media. I hope to get my coaching qualification soon so I can support the club further.
Meet our Management Team
I joined the Halifax in 1992 and have worked in financial services ever since. In January 1997, I made the decision to leave the bank and open the first iMAB office, as I wanted to offer customers independent mortgage advice on the high street. Thankfully, twenty years later, that still looks the right decision!
I am married with two young sons and a house full of animals. I occasionally manage to fit in a bit of football, golf or tennis when I’m allowed!
I have worked in the mortgage industry since 2001 and joined iMAB as a mortgage & protection adviser in 2006. Initially, I spent 5 years advising from our Watford branch before moving across to manage St Albans in 2011. I now manage both offices, as well as handling iMAB’s compliance and regulatory requirements.
I am married with one son and currently reside in Dunstable, Beds. Outside of work, my hobbies include sports of various kinds, and much of my time is spent attending my son’s sporting events. Live music is also a keen passion of mine.
After starting my career in Barclays in 1997 I joined iMAB as a part time administrator in 2011 at the St Albans office.
I am a fully qualified Mortgage Adviser, however, I have moved across to the Administration and Compliance side of the business and currently manage the Case Handling Team here at IMAB
I live in Pinner, and I am married with two children. I enjoy spending time with my family as well as travelling and socialising with my friends.
